Chemung County Comic Con Returns to Elmira

ELMIRA, NY, JULY 23, 2021 - First Arena Entertainment, partnered with Not All Heroes Wear Capes Comic Shop, will host the Fifth Annual Chemung County ComicCon September 17-19 2021.  This marks the third time that arena and comic shop have brought comic book artists and fans together in the Twin Tiers. 

This year’s convention will bring back fan favorites such as the Ghostbusters “Ecto 1” mobile, the Scooby Doo van, the 5th annual Cosplay Costume Awards and the Star Wars reenactment group, the 501st Legion.   

Artist Alley will once again feature numerous local artists and creators, as well as a select number of featured guests including:

• Artist Sean Gordon Murphy

• Artist Amanda Conner

• Writer/Artist Scottie Young

• Local Artist Ethan Young

• Local Writer Roger Stern

New to the convention will be LASERBLAST 4000, a traveling laser tag company from Columbus, Ohio; local favorite, Albie’s Arcade, featuring 10 playable classic arcade games; a Magic the Gathering Tournament hosted by Mythic Games; and a free to play board game room sponsored by Great Escape Adventures.  

Tickets are on sale now and available via Ticketmaster or at First Arena.  Half of all proceeds will be donated to The Hero Initiative, a federally recognized not-for-profit organization that assists comic book creators in need.
